I am so blessed and pleased to offer our beautiful line of Farmhouse Rentals in the Sevierville Tennessee Area. Originating from Cleveland, Ohio and living my dreams in the Great Smoky Mountain Area is something I always prayed to do. Here I am after 55 years of Hospitality!  I have always believed in working hard and playing hard.  Working in the Hotel, Restaurants and Bed and Breakfasts industry granted me extraordinary travels and friendships.  Such a rewarding career.   This is how I show off my positive experiences by dedicating my time and energy to making others dream vacation.  I want every guest to feel like the best “home away from home” for their families and friends. True Southern Hospitality.  My background in service and management makes way for this adventure in a wonderful way.

It was by accident that I met with Robert Pickney and became involved with the building of his Wildflower Events Center and managing his rental properties.  This is the highlight of my professional career, so far!  After 5 years, here we are moving forward with an exceptional complex for bringing joy to others.  Farmhouses, Cottages and Efficiency Studio Apartments are on the horizon. Handicap access is a priority to me. Exceptional lodging and explicit amenities to make dreams come true.

The Historic John Ogle Farmhouse was built around the turn of the 20th century by John Ogle, the great grandson of William and Martha Ogle, early settlers of the area now known as Gatlinburg. The land on which the house was built was transferred to John in 1895 from the estate of his parents, Isaac and Nancy Ogle.  It appears that the original structure was two floors with two rooms on each floor. Each of the four rooms had its own fireplace created from handmade bricks. The house was built on a stacked stone and beam foundation and included an addition that had been attached at the back of the original structure.

The house was purchased in 2012 by Robert Pickney and work was begun to save as much of the original structure as possible. The original exterior of the house was trimmed with good luck diamonds and hearts that John created to represent love and prosperity and they remain there today.  A new foundation replaced the stones and beams and the original fireplaces were exposed. The old addition foundation beams were used to make mantels for each of the fireplaces. The stairs were moved and brought up to codes. Some changes were made to the original bedrooms in order to expand closets and add bathrooms. The floors couldn’t be saved, but all of the tongue and groove walls were rescued and used throughout most of the house.

The old addition was torn down and a new one was built that included dining space, a kitchen, laundry area, an additional upstairs bedroom as well as a new recreation room for families to enjoy.  Additionally, a sunroom was added to the side of the house.

The house was designed and decorated to be as true as possible to the time period, but still offer the modern conveniences families enjoy.  A painting of the house during an earlier time hangs in the living room and pictures and the story of the family hang in the hallway.

An old barn was on the far end of the property but was in serious disrepair and was torn down.  However, all of the wood beam from the barn was used throughout the Wildflower Event Center and a picture of the old structure is hanging in one of the rooms.  It was completed March 17, 2021.   We also built a Pavilion and renovated a home named the  Wildflower Cottage behind Event center.  Additional property was purchased and plans to expand are on the horizon.
